Pathway Law remains open and operating
Our Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic
Like you, we are monitoring the situation surrounding COVID-19 and are taking all appropriate measures to ensure the ongoing health and safety of our staff and our clients. We will post updates to this page.
Dear reader,
As we enter a second provincial emergency with a stay-at-home order, Pathway Law remains focused on doing our part. We are encouraging many of our team members to work remotely. We are also encouraging clients to make use of video and telephone meetings whenever possible. Combined with stringent safety measures, we continue to offer our clients safe, contact-free legal services.
This crisis has impacted each of us in unprecedented ways. For us, this has been an unforeseen catalyst of accelerated innovation. Our law firm has made strides in areas that affect our practice of law in general, our use of technology, and our sharing of ideas with other leading law firms across Ontario. These projects were in the works before the pandemic began, but the issues they would address were laid bare when Ontarians were mandated to remain at home in the spring – socially distanced from family, colleagues, and neighbours. It became evident that placing a high priority on their completion was the best way to respond.
We always look for new ways that we can transform legal services. We know this is how we can ensure we always serve our clients better. If you need legal services now or in the future, we are equipped to handle all of your needs with innovative legal solutions. And, we do this while helping everyone minimize their risk of exposure to COVID-19.
To all the health care, front line, and essential workers who continue to serve with patience and compassion throughout this crisis, thank you. As these restrictions persist we acknowledge that you are the people who will hold our communities together.
Sincerely,
Daniel Whittal

Dear reader,
In a very short time COVID-19 has changed how we live in Chatham-Kent. We marvel at the amazing ways that everyone in our community –individuals, stores, restaurants, businesses, organizations and other institutions– have adapted to support the efforts to keep this disease in check. We feel proud to be part of this great community who values the health and well-being of the people who live and work here. While it’s true that COVID-19 has changed much of how we live, it has not altered the spirit of our city.
At the offices of Pathway Law we have embraced the best of this opportunity by investing further into some amazing technologies that help us work safely and without interruption. To serve our clients in the very best way possible, our offices in both Chatham and Ridgetown are fully operational with safety and social distancing measures in place. Whenever we can, we offer the option to meet online or over the phone, but some instances still require an onsite appointment. For these occasions, we reserve one of our designated meeting spaces just for you, sanitizing the space in advance of and immediately following your visit. Everyone wears a mask during these meetings, and physical distancing is maintained in these spaces. These measures allow us to accomplish everything while keeping both our staff and you safe and protected.
We will continue to follow the safety recommendations from governing authorities and will continue to monitor the situation and remain flexible with how we offer our services. We will post any updates to our ways of working on this page.
From all of us here at Pathway Law, we want to state our gratitude for the combined efforts to keep this illness from spreading too quickly.
Be well and stay healthy,
Daniel Whittal

Dear reader,
For almost a decade, we have been serving Chatham-Kent with the best methods, tools and technologies available to law practitioners. Because of these ongoing efforts, we are fully prepared to serve you without interruption, even during a public health crisis such as this. We have tested and ensured that all tasks, services and transactions can be performed remotely, meaning that we are capable of completing all real estate transactions, corporate and business transactions, and will and estate planning on schedule, without putting anyone at increased risk of being in contact with the virus. We remain fully operational and focused on your matter so you are free to focus on the well-being of your own family and loved ones.
Additionally, as a direct response to concerns being expressed within the Chatham-Kent community, we are also offering a specialized service that will enable you to quickly acquire a will and powers of attorney if you do not currently have them in place or if your existing documents need changes. We aim to support you in ensuring your loved ones are protected and prepared for any eventuality. Please contact us to learn more about this initiative.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with all the people around the globe who are facing this illness firsthand, and our gratitude goes out to all the health care professionals who have made caring for patients their number one priority. We recognize that the COVID-19 virus will have a very real impact on each one of us, and so we will continue to monitor events as they unfold.
We want all our clients, and those affected by transactions of which we are a part, to know that your stability is our business. We are prepared and will continue to serve you, while fully supporting the precautions and protocols that are necessary during this time.
Sincerely,
Daniel Whittal
